In a world in dire need of genuine Love, AGAPE was determined to instill early on in its beneficiaries the vital importance of Community Service, hoping that this will create and sustain a spirit of giving back to our beneficiaries, a spirit that they will spread to other youth.
The program started on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon in April 2015 with 4 senior students whose goal was to offer their assistance to the elderly residents at the only Nursing Home in town “L’Asile”, a place administered by the sisters of St. Hyacinte, under the umbrella of the Catholic Church. The students spent the afternoon praying, singing, and entertaining the residents who were enchanted to be surrounded by the warmth of youthful souls.
