Founded in 2000 as a pilot project by a group of friends based in the US, AGAPE-HAITI has helped to improve the quality of education of many young Haitians by providing scholarships to them.
AGAPE-HAITI Inc., in partnership with 6 schools in Jeremie is committed to the advancement of Education, as such creating a new generation of young kids well prepared to deal with the challenge of the 21st century.
Major Accomplishments
A pilot project from 2000-2006 offered 6 scholarships , covering 7 years of secondary school. Four(4) of these students were later enrolled in the University of Cuba, with 2 graduating from Medical School . Incorporated in 2007,AGAPE-HAITI has provided tuition scholarships to 70 students to date. These students have gone on to enter prestigious universities in Haiti and abroad, pursuing and completing training in diverse fields: Medicine, Civil engineering, Renewable Energy, Agronomy, Journalism, Law, Business Administration, Teaching, Nursing.
